Kimberley Clothing or more commonly known as KC’s, was established in 1998 by Rikkie Alsemgeest & her late husband, Jan Alsemgeest. This was their second venture in the clothing manufacturing industry, following the successful creation & sale of a similar business prior to that.

In 2007 Marna Kruis joined Kimberley Clothing as co-owner of the business.

The focus of KC’s has always been on the design & manufacturing of sports, school and corporate wear.  Soon after KC’s was established, they expanded the business by bringing the embroidery function in-house and investing in the latest state of the art equipment.  They are continuously looking at ways to provide the latest techniques & fabrics to provide the best quality product to their clients.

Kimberley Clothing is a uniquely woman owned corporation with a focus on the employment of talented woman from the local community.  Kimberley Clothing is a level 2 contributor to B-BBEE.

The KC’s team is led by Rikkie Alsemgeest & Marna Kruis.

Rikkie is a design & sewing teacher by trade and an entrepreneur by heart. She has over 25 years of experience in the clothing manufacturing industry.  Marna is a keen sports woman representing her regional teams in a number of sports during her school & university days.

It is their combined talents, skills and enthusiasm as well as the contribution of each member of the team, that has led to the success of KC’s.  Many members of the team have been with the business from the start.

The team consist of cutters, embroiderers, seam stress, packers & quality control.

At the core of everything that they do is the focus on the highest quality workmanship as well as stellar customer service.
